About the Role

This role is about understanding potential and current customers and determining the best solutions we can provide as an organization to make their lives easier. We currently have 200+ Customers all over Africa and your job would be to identify the key customers to focus on that would get the most out of what we do, and in turn, generate revenue for Pawa IT. If you love people and influencing people, this is the job for you. If you are also a techie then this is also the job for you. We are looking for someone who is a mix between a techie and a salesperson.

The tools:
Our internal tools will be at your disposal. Notably our ERP and CRM, in addition to our custom dashboards will provide a quick overview of our customers. We also have Google Resources as we are a Google Cloud partner to give you an understanding of our core offering. Lastly documented workflows and solutions that have been created by our cloud and Engineering teams will also be on hand.

The person:You MUST be someone who can work with such tools and have a knack for scouring and scouting for data and making connections that enable you to identify our customer needs. You should also be someone who is not intimidated by new knowledge and information and is ready to create repeatable processes that help us as an organization serve our customers. Lastly, you have to have an understanding of the tech from a native level because you can only engage with potential customers and customers when you understand the tech.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding existing clients through analysis and research using internal data and primary research with customers where need be.
  • Establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Providing solutions and co-creating solutions with existing customers that suit their cloud needs on both GCP and Google Workspace.
  • Evaluating customers’ needs to suggest upgrades or additional features.
  • Providing the Sales team support in creating pre-sales proposals.
  • Training customers to use our services.
  • Ensuring Customer renewals and onboarding are done on time.
  • Providing reports to stakeholders on key customer metrics.
  • Tracking account metrics.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Data and Research Enthusiast; Researching and working with data, from various sources is a core skill set for this role
  • Great writing skills. Communicating through writing is important, and a key aspect of this job is maintaining the company newsletter.
  • Great communication skills in general– both written and verbal– and the ability to build a genuine rapport with prospects over the phone/email promptly  
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities and/or projects
  • Driven and resourceful in finding new approaches to ensure his/her message is resonating with potential customers
  • Familiarity or ability to quickly learn systems and tools; Next ERP, HubSpot CRM, Data Studio and Google Sheets.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 1-year experience, we want someone who will hit the ground running.

Work Environment

  • General office environment; Onsite at our Nairobi office, Kenya.
  • Work involves extended periods of computer use.
  • Monday to Friday workweek.
  • 8 am to 5 pm working hours.
