About The Nairobi Women’s Hospital
INDUSTRY: HEALTHCARE
PROJECT LOCATION: KENYA
Every year, The Nairobi Women’s Hospital serves 300,000 outpatients and 120,000 inpatients. It has nine branches in Kenya and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Over 1,300 highly qualified and dedicated staff members work in the hospital branches, driving the hospital’s success and commitment to achieving a high level of patient satisfaction.
The challenge
The Nairobi Women’s Hospital had been using Google Workspace Business Starter and purchasing additional storage ranging from 50 GB to 1TB for its users. As a result, their costs were skyrocketing. They also required a mechanism for retaining and protecting employee data, as well as compliance with industry standards and a shared resource for document collaboration.
Partner role in subject
Pawa IT Solutions provided the deployment and technical services support, enabling The Nairobi Women’s Hospital team to realize the optimal value of their Google Workspace and save on costs.
The solution: Partial Domain Licensing (PDL)
Working with Pawa IT Solution, the client was able to select and deploy a hybrid of two distinct Google Workspace plans via a scenario known as Partial Domain Licensing. Partial Domain Licensing enables your organization to mix different Google Workspace plans within your domain, with some users on Google Workspace Starter, others on Standard or Plus, and so on. We also deployed advanced configurations within the admin console, allowing the team to reduce risks and mitigate threats while ensuring the organization’s data retention and compliance requirements were met.
The results
The Nairobi Women’s Hospital was able to save more than 15% on license costs per year by combining different Google Workspace plans using Partial Domain Licensing. The advanced security configurations allowed the organization to protect its employees and confidential client information while meeting the organization’s data security and compliance requirements.
